Do you know what's 白い恋人? If you know chinese, you can roughly guess it as 'White Lovers' right? And you're right! Still, what's 'White Lovers'?
白い恋人 - Pronounced 'Shi-ro-i Ko-i-bi-to'
It's actually this:

Vanilla cream sandwiched between biscuit wafers
It's the out-of-the-world biscuit you can ever get! You can only find it in Sapporo (札幌), Hokkaido, Japan. I don't know about the cost, but one of my Japanese classmate brought it back for us. O_O It's really out of the world!! It's like eating erm - room temperature ice-cream with wafer. The biscuit slice is really thin, yet it smells really GOOD.
So if you're going on a holiday to Hokkaido next time, soon, remember to buy it back! My birthday is coming you know ... =)
Anyway, really nice to have your biscuits named something as pleasant as 'White Lovers'.
It came about one winter in Hokkaido, when two lovers were walking in the snow. They were poor, cold and hungry, with only a piece of biscuit left to share between them. The man gave the woman the whole piece of biscuit, leaving nothing for himself. So the man froze and died. The woman, who became successful later in life, created the 'White Lovers' biscuit, and stated that there must be 2 pieces in every packet. 'One for you and one for me', was the intention. Ok... the end. By the way, I'm only crapping - there's no such story! =X But well if you know the 'truth' behind it you can always tell me =)
And so, talk about QUALITY and the JAPANESE. And quality just reminds me of... something. =) Ciao!
